With three-stage cannon barrel, foliate engraved breech inscribed 'London' along the top, waisted foliate engraved tang, border engraved action signed beneath the steel-spring, trigger-guard engraved on the bow, swelling moulded figured butt carved with foliage in relief behind the barrel tang and inlaid with silver wire scrollwork heightened with silver pins, silver escutcheon with cast and chased foliate border and engraved with owner's crest, and silver grotesque mask butt-cap, London proof marks and maker's mark
