With three-stage turn-off cannon barrels each rifled with twelve grooves, border engraved actions (one jaw screw replaced) each signed on a foliate scroll on one side and inscribed 'Bristol' beneath foliage and banners on the other, sliding trigger-guard safety-catches each engraved with a flower-head on the bow, swelling figured butts each inlaid with silver wire scrollwork and pins, and silver grotesque mask butt-caps (some rust patination), private Birmingham proof marks and maker's mark JJ (2)
