An Irish Percussion Travelling Pistol Of Carbine Bore
By Wm. & Jn. Rigby Of Dublin, Mid-19th Century

With browned twist barrel with sighting groove along the top and numbered '10' beneath, case-hardened breech with platinum lines and pierced platinum plug, foliate engraved tang grooved for sighting, signed border engraved recurved rounded lock decorated with foliage and with three bents (hammer replaced), figured full stock with flattened chequered butt, the latter with vacant silver escutcheon, trigger-guard with pineapple finial and engraved with foliage on the bow, further vacant silver escutcheon, stirrup ramrod, and faint traces of original finish
