With case-hardened fluted barrels engraved with foliage at the muzzles and numbered from '1' to '6' at the breeches, border engraved case-hardened action finely decorated with foliate scrollwork, signed on one side and inscribed 'Improved Revolving Pistol' on the other, case-hardened hammer engraved with guilloche along the top and with a starburst around the nose, engraved thumbpiece safety-catch, blued trigger-guard and case-hardened ovoidal butt-cap engraved en suite with the action, the latter with hinged circular butt-trap cover, very finely chequered figured rounded butt carved around the butt-cap, vacant silver escutcheon, and virtually all its original finish, London proof marks
