A Portuguese Contract .577 Snider Three-Band Military Rifle Musket
By B.S.A. & Co., No. R133, Dated 1875

With russet sighted barrel rifled with three grooves and retained by three Baddeley patent barrel bands (one loose), folding adjustable back-sight calibrated to 950 yards, breech stamped 'Snider Patent', pivoting breech-block (spring for catch missing), case-hardened dated flat lock with 'BSA & M Co.' and 'GP' crowned on the tail, figured three-quarter stock (some bruising and worming), regulation brass mounts, sling loops with leather sling, original steel ramrod, and traces of original finish, Birmingham proof marks
