A Rare French 14-Bore 1779 Model Flintlock Naval Belt Pistol Of First Type
Circa 1780

With plain barrel and tang, the former retained by a brass barrel band carrying the fore-sight, incorporating the ramrod-entry and extending back to the trigger-guard, the latter with iron extension down the back of the butt, flat bevelled lock indistinctly engraved 'Mre. Rle. de Tulle' and with steel spring beneath the brass pan, figured half-stock (butt split on one side), regulation brass mounts including trigger-guard stamped with inspector's mark on the bow, 'G' crowned, belt hook, and original iron ramrod
