With sighted barrel retained by a spring-held barrel band and with folding calibrated adjustable back-sight in front of the octagonal breech section, the latter stamped with tughra of Sultan Abdulhamid II (1876-1909), tubular magazine beneath, action dated and inscribed in Turkish along one side, bolt with downbent lever, full stock (some bruising) painted '10/100' on one side and roughly cut 'Carter S-T' on the other, regulation steel mounts, and sling loops (steel parts with old oil overall)
