Second Half Of The 17th Century
With tapering double-edged blade with central fuller on each face stamped 'Sahagom' between cross marks, an incised running wolf mark beyond, one face near the hilt stamped with crowned Amsterdam mark, and a crowned 'P' on the other, iron 'Walloon' hilt with asymmetrical oval side-rings each filled with a plate pierced with stars against a ground of small dots, downscrolled rear quillon struck with a floret on one side, knuckle-guard with central swelling, thumb-ring, globular pommel with button, and original wooden grip with remains of textile covering and twisted wire binding (rust patinated overall)
