A German Gothic Mace
Second Half Of The 15th Century

Entirely of iron, the head of four acutely pointed triangular flanges each showing copper brazing and drawn-out to form scrolls above and below, and with bluntly-pointed finial, on seamed haft of tapering circular section becoming octagonal at the grip, the latter slightly flared at the bottom and pierced for a thong (some pitting overall)
