With slightly curved blade (some wear and rust patination) double-edged towards the adapted point, the forte etched on each side with the inscription 'Soli Deo Gloria' in an oval within a foliated panel, a design of foliage beyond, brass hilt comprising pierced double-quillons, the upper ones with rounded tips cast with foliage, the lower ones linked to a side-guard cast and pierced with rocailles, rounded pommel-cap engraved with rocailles, surmounted by a button and with a ring at the rear, and green-stained bone grip of tapering ovoidal section carved with vertical lines, in black leather scabbard with original brass locket and chape engraved en suite with the hilt, the former with two rings for suspension
