Two Rondel Daggers
15th Century

In excavated condition, the first with sharply tapering single-edged blade of triangular section, hilt with compressed disc-shaped guard and pommel, the latter with diamond-shaped washer, and flat tapering tang pierced with three holes, two retaining their pins for securing the grips (missing, blackened overall); the second with sharply tapering blade of flattened triangular section with brass-inlaid mark on one side, rootwood grip with turned circular guard faced in brass, and replacement pommel en suite (2)
