A Rare And Highly Unusual Indian 28-Bore Flintlock And Percussion Dual-Ignition Gun (Toradar)
Early 19th Century

With finely twist octagonal sighted barrel retained by three gold-damascened barrel bands and decorated with shaped panels of gold-damascened koftkari flowers and foliage at the slightly flared muzzle and breech, tang en suite and including a rubbed illegible inscription, dolphin hammer and foliate engraved 'French' cock, the latter with brass pan and roller, steel side-plates decorated with gold koftkari flowers within foliate borders, hardwood full stock with slender characteristic butt, trigger-plate and D-shaped trigger-guard decorated with gold koftkari foliage, the former with old working life alterations, gold-damascened sling loops, and original iron ramrod with turned and flared tip
