A Persian Enamelled Jambiya
Qajar, 19th Century

With slightly curved double-edged blade (pitted) of slightly hollowed diamond section, waisted copper hilt of ovoidal section finely polychrome enamelled overall with shaped panels of flowering foliage against green grounds (enamel damaged and restored in places, finial missing), in original wood-lined copper scabbard en suite with suspension loop on one side and bud-shaped terminal
