With curved sharply tapering double-edged blade with shallow medial ridge along each side, waisted gilt-copper hilt of oval section polychrome enamelled overall with panels of flowering foliage partly against white enamel grounds highlighted with red details, and all within black enamel line borders (enamel extensively damaged and incomplete), in original wood-lined gilt copper scabbard en suite, and with a suspension loop on one side (terminal missing): in contemporary fitted case covered in tooled leather lined in maroon velvet, the interior of the lid lined in purple silk
