The first with waisted slightly curved tapering blade with slender medial ridge between lines over most of its length on each side, the forte with a panel of gold-damascened Arabic calligraphy on each side, hilt with pinched-in basal mount en suite with the forte on each side beneath gold-damascened foliage, brown hardstone grip of two circular sections inlaid with gold foliage, and globular pommel en suite surmounted by a copper cap set with an imitation turquoise and rubies (one missing), in its wooden scabbard covered in Persian textile woven with designs of foliage in coloured threads; the second with tapering double-edged blade (some pitting overall) with medial ridge over most of its length on each side, and X-shaped brass hilt of spiral twist form with animal-head finials on either side of the quillon-block and pommel (2)
