The first with double-edged blade etched with pairs of fish against a foliate ground over its entire length on each side, two-piece steel hilt comprising downcurved quillons with stylised monster-head terminals, riveted pointed langets, swelling grip and lobated pommel; the second of similar form, the blade etched with symmetrical designs of foliated strapwork involving pairs of fish and calligraphy, the hilt retaining very faint traces of silver-damascening; the last with slightly curved single-edged blade with three fullers along the back for most of its length on each side, the forte stamped with stars and serrated crescents, iron hilt of characteristic form comprising downcurved quillons and knuckle-guard each with swelling terminals, and beaked horn grip incised with two pairs of vertical lines on one side (all with some rust patination) (3)
