The hira-zukuri blade with one mekugi-ana, midare hamon, fully bound tsuka with shibuichi fuchi-kashira decorated with flying geese over water in soft-metals, gilt fan menuki, and iron tsuba decorated in gold with leaves and tendrils, in its saya of alternating bands of black ishime and roiro lacquer with kojiri decorated en suite, complete with shakudo nanako kodzuka decorated with gilt signs of the zodiac
