Third Quarter Of The 17th Century
With three-stage barrels, octagonal, polygonal, then circular, each with figure-of-eight iron muzzle-ring and released by upward pressure on the trigger-guard, the breech-plates engraved with bands of stylised foliage, stepped rounded back-action locks each now with the signature 'Baroy', the rounded cocks each retained from the inside by an engraved bolt, later walnut full stocks, steel mounts including S-shaped flat side-plates and engraved domed oval pommels pierced with radiating petals, short baluster ramrod-pipes, and horn-tipped wooden ramrods (2)
