A German Circular Powder-Flask
17th Century

Similar to the last, inlaid around the outside with four staghorn roundels each framed by four staghorn pellets, the spaces between with lines of brass nails, the centre set with a larger staghorn roundel engraved with a floret, the top with iron nozzle and sprung tap, the latter formed as a scallop shell over the top of the nozzle, and two rectangular rings for suspension, the iron base mount secured by nails and reinforced at the centre
12.5 cm. diam.
