With tapering blade of flattened diamond section, slightly hollowed rectangular ricasso struck on each side with a mark within a pearled oval, iron hilt of slender bars of stiff diamond section filed with chevrons, retaining much of its original gilding and comprising long straight quillons (one expertly replaced) swelling towards to tips, arms linked on the inner and outer side to three concentric side-rings, the largest joined at the top by a curved bar to the knuckle-guard, the smallest each filled by a plate pierced with interlaced strapwork enclosing an embossed oval vacant medallion, pommel of hexagonal section with prominent button en suite, and original wooden grip bound with twisted silver wire between Turk's head
