A late 19th / early 20th century gilt metal and cut glass Empire style chandelier

of bag form, the central support above a circular pierced receiver issuing six reeded nozzles, the whole hung with chains of faceted drops, pear shaped drops and strings of beaded drops, later adapted for electricity, 125cm high
