the standing figure with an axe in his left hand, his right shielding his eyes as he looks into the distance, raised on a naturalistic base, with the Bergman monogram and inscribed GESCHUTZ, 19cm high

Footnotes

This rare unpainted figure by Bergman does show some signs of silvering to the shirt, much of which is now rubbed. Other unpainted figures of Indians by Bergman are illustrated in Ernst Hrabelak Vienna Bronzes, Laterna Magica.
