Seven hashira-e and two habahiro hashira-e bijin-ga prints by various artists comprising: one by Masunobu, a parody of Chushingura (*1), one of a bijin and a child by Toyokuni, one by Choki depicting a high-ranking courtesan and a kamuro (*2), another parody of Chushingura by Eisho, the fifth by Shuncho depicting a high-ranking courtesan standing behind a bamboo fence in the summer (*3), two by Eizan, one depicting Ariwara and Arito from the House of Tsuru (*4), the other of Meizan and Hinaaya from the House of Choji, one by Eisen depicting a lady opening an umbrella in the heavy snow, the last by Yoshitora of an elaborately-attired oiran, all variously published and variously signed. The smallest 58cm x 9.5cm (22¾in x 7¾in), the largest 73cm x 25cm (28¾in x 9¾in). (9).
