A small Satsuma bowl

By Seikozan, Meiji Period
Finely painted in enamels and gilt with figures from all sections of society enjoying the hanami season, the exterior with merchants, samurai, courtesans and their attendants walking beneath cherry blossoms; the interior with a similar group of figures picnicking and drinking sake at teahouses, signed with seal Seikozan. 12.5cm diam.
