Embellished in gold and coloured takamakie, the cover showing the famous and beautiful poetess seated and poignantly holding a single maple leaf with her head lowered and her multi-layered Heian-period robes billowing around her, the interior fitted tray decorated with two maple leaves floating on poem papers lying atop a box, signed Nariyuki/Seishi saku; with lacquer wood storage box. 5.7cm x 12.1cm (2¼in x 4¾in).
