Of cubic square form, the kinji ground embellished in gold hiramakie and inlaid in mother-of-pearl with a design of clumps of shiran (Bletilla striata) on three faces, the other two faces with diagonal gold lines, the interior of black lacquer, the base signed Tomo; with tomobako titled and signed by the artist Katsumata Satoshi with seal. 8cm x 9.1cm x 9.1cm (3 1/8in x 3 5/8in x 3 5/8in).
