The inro 18th century and the tonkotsu 19th century
The two-case inro of wide form, lacquered on the roiro ground with hares among tokusa grass, one hare inlaid in raden, signed Kajikawa saku with red pot seal Ei, 6cm (2 3/8in) high; the wood tonkotsu inlaid with lotus and a bean plant in various types of wood, tortoiseshell and shell, signed Tokoku, 9.5cm (3¾in) high. (2).
