Of rectangular form, lacquered in gold takamakie with birds perched among hoshigaki (dried persimmon), on bamboo poles and a tree branch, the corners of red lacquer with gold lacquer karakusa and the interior of nashiji, signed Kanko, Kajikawa Bunryusai; with lacquered wood manju with a tied leaf design, unsigned. 9.5cm (3¾in) high.
