of squat form with rounded base, the sides tapering inward, a frieze below the rim containing kufic inscriptions against a ground of scrolling leafy vines interspersed with roundels containing arabesques and scrolling vines
38 cm. diam.

The inscriptions comprise: 'The Excellency, the High, the Lordly, the Great Commander, the Learned, the Diligent, the Conqueror, the Holy Warrior, the Defender, the Protector [of frontiers], the Assisted [by God], the Treasure-house [of excellence], the Help, the Succour, the Valliant'.
