A Garrus carved pottery Bowl
Persia, 12th/ 13th Century

with rounded sides, carved through a cream slip and embellished in manganese purple with a central roundel depicting a lion looking backwards, the sides with a frieze of stylised kufic with floral roundels in between
13.3 cm. diam
