18th/19th century
The well-carved and hollowed vessel of irregular cylindrical form rising to the slightly inturned rim, the exterior carved with a tree shrew climbing atop a gnarled pine, pine bark and gnarled sections, the stone of pale green and mottled brown tone. 9.6cm (3¾in) high
