A pale green jade group

18th/19th century
Finely carved with a monk holding a lotus sprig over his shoulder and a bird in his right hand, seated beside his disciple stroking a small Buddhist lion and holding possibly a pearl in his right hand, both clad in loose robes, the details of the shoes well carved at the underside, the stone of pale green tone with minor white and russet inclusions. 9cm (3½in) wide.
