A white jade boy on hobby horse carving

18th century
The boy riding atop a hobby horse whilst waving a banner in his left hand, the stone of white-grey tone with minor russet inclusions, 4.7cm (1⅞in) high; together with a white and russet jade goose atop a lotus leaf, 18th century, with a lotus spray in its beak and two chicks by its side, 5.3cm (2⅛in) long; and a white and russet jade melon and butterfly group, 18th century, borne on a leafy gnarled branch, 5.2cm (2½in) long (3).
