A pale green jade figure of Buddha

18th/19th century
The deity well carved seated in dhyanasana, his hand held in dhyana mudra, wearing long flowing robes draped over his shoulders and legs, the face set in a contemplative expression, with elongated ears and tight curls below the usnisa, the stone of pale green tone, the figure inset in a silver cover of a two-compartment box. Figure 6.7cm (2⅝in) high. (2).
