A white jade group of a boy

18th century
The smiling boy leaning forward with his right hand stroking the head of the recumbent doe and holding in his left hand a ruyi sceptre tied with a ribbon to a bat grasping onto the boy's left shoulder, the stone of pale white-grey tone with minor russet inclusions. 6.1cm (2⅜in) wide.
