The walls comprising overlapping upright lotus petals incised with floral sprays including narcissus, lotus, peony, plantain, prunus, chrysanthemum and bamboo, set around the high shoulders and short rim, the ear-shaped handle carved with a chilong dragon amidst cloud scrolls, set opposite the tubular spout issuing from the jaws of a makara dragon, surmounted by a lotus-leaf-shaped cover with a possibly later coral and enamelled finial, all supported on a short foot with pendent petals, wood stand, box. 15.2cm (6in) long (4).
