Each well carved with the deep, gently curving sides rising from a short, straight foot ring to a flared rim, the translucent milky-white stone with some cloudy white and pale green inclusions, both with high polish. 13.2cm (5¼in) diam. (2).

Footnotes
The present pair of jade bowls is exceptional for both the colour and purity of the stone, and have been polished to a high level to show off these superb qualities. Their form, with the flared rim and rounded sides, are typical of bowls produced during the Qianlong and Jiaqing reigns.
