Finely painted around the exterior in deep tones of cobalt blue with a continuous scene depicting the seven sages engaged in various leisurely pursuits, playing the qin, a game of weiqi and painting, all set within a bamboo grove amidst plantain trees and rocky outcrops. 14.9cm (5¾in) high
