A Sino-Tibetan Sanskrit-character kesi panel

18th/19th century
The rectangular panel vividly woven in brightly coloured silk and gold thread, depicting a central Sanskrit character rising from a lotus leaf base, above a pair of fish, shuangyu, and two pairs of mandarin ducks amidst lotus flower, all before concentric radiating circles and all set within a landscape with mountain peaks below and clouds above, framed and glazed.
64.8cm x 51.3cm (24½in x 20¼in).
