A gilt-bronze figure of a monk

17th/18th century
Finely cast, seated with legs crossed below the flowing robes falling over the carpeted cushion and incised at the hems with foliate decoration, the arms held in front and hands crossed, the eyes lowered in a mediating expression, the cushion with lotus medallions at the sides and floral ground in front and at the borders.
16cm (6¼in) high.
