The stone deftly carved in openwork to depict the form of a high Taihu rock with two young boys, the He He Erxian, one standing on a protruding rocky ledge holding a cat in his arms, the other standing to the side of the rockwork, with his left arm raised holding a small bird and his right arm holding a long lotus stem, both boys wearing loosely-fitted tunics and with their long hair falling down their shoulders and backs, the reverse with a gnarled pine tree issuing from one of the rocky ledges, the stone of an even white tone, wood stand. 13.1cm (5in) high (2).
