A bronze figure of Guanyin

16th/17th century
The Bodhisattva cast seated in padmasana, the left hand in vitarka mudra, and the right in harina mudra, the head slightly lowered with eyes downcast in serene expression, crowned with an elaborate tiara enclosing the high chignon, the shoulders flanked by floral stems, adorned with elaborate jewellery and wearing a celestial scarf over the long flowing robes, incised at the hems with floral patterns, with traces of red and blue pigment.
25.6cm (10in) high.
