A rare bronze libation cup

Qianlong four-character mark and of the period
Closely cast after a seventeenth century archaistic rhinoceros horn prototype, with a central band of stylised taotie design against a hatched ground, with four clambering chilong dragons cast in high relief around the sides, interior and handle, the foot cast with four-character mark in relief.
14.6cm (5¾in) wide.
