A soapstone seated figure of a luohan

18th century
The figure with his left hand resting on his raised knee supporting an alms bowl held in his right hand, wearing long flowing robes adorned with lingzhi-shaped cloud scrolls and wave borders, the face set in a contemplative expression. 11.8cm (4⅝in) high.
