Qianlong/Jiaqing
The impressive vessel carved as a large duck with its head held high, a floral collar around its neck, the wings folded over the body, the plumage carved as an archaistic mythical bird framed by C-scrolls, with the feathers and tail feathers well delineated, with the webbed feet tucked under the body, surmounted by a well-hollowed tall baluster square-section vase with a ruyi-head border around the shoulders and upright plantain leaves on the neck, the stone of even pale green tone with a minor russet inclusion at the rim, wood stand.
