An unusual white jade 'horse and monkey' belt hook

Of an undulating form, carved with a horse-head terminal, the mane finely incised, and two monkeys clambering over a network of gnarled peach branches, the reverse with an oval knop, 10.8cm (4¼in) long; together with a white jade group of two cats at play, the larger holding a lingzhi fungus spray in its mouth, wood stand, 5.1cm (2in) wide; and a pale green jade leaf-shaped pendant carved with recumbent cat in high relief, wood stand, both 18th/19th century, 6.2cm (2½in) long
