A pale green jade 'rockwork' vase

18th century
The stone naturalistically worked in the form of a jagged, rocky outcrop emerging from turbulent, crashing waves, with a long streaming waterfall crashing into the waters below, and with a gnarled pine tree growing from a cliff face, the underside skilfully worked with a continuation of the torrent of waves, wood stand.
11.6cm (4½in) high (2).
