The box inset with a shibuichi panel decorated in takazogan with a cockerel and hen, the interior of nashiji and divided into two compartments, signed Yoshin with seal Kankosai, the base of the box with an inscription stating that the box was presented to Lieutenant Shimada by his naval officers in Showa 10 (1935), the ensuite rectangular tray supported on four bracket feet, unsigned. The box 6cm x 18cm x 12cm (2 3/8in x 7in x 4¾in), the tray 17.7cm x 23.8cm (7in x 9 5/16in). (3).
