A slender bronze reticulated trumpet vase

By Hidemitsu/Shuko, Edo Period, 19th century
Of Art Nouveau inspiration, modelled with a trumpet neck and flaring multi-petalled rim, the bulbous mid section reticulated and decorated with flowering trailing vine, the base carved with spumy waves, extending to form three feet of the same design, signed on the base in seal form Toto Hidemitsu/Shuko kanshu. 40cm (15¾in) high.
