Finely worked in gold wire and totai-jippo with a male and female goat grazing beneath fruiting vines, the branches spreading across the entire shoulder of the vase forming a canopy, all reserved on a budo (grape-coloured) ground, the base stamped with the Ando Jubei mark, applied with gilt mounts; with tomobako titled Shippo, Heiwa no zu kabin (Cloisonné enamel vase, with a design symbolising Peace) and signed by the artist Jubei zo with tsuba-shape seal Ando kinsei. 31.5cm (12 3/8in) high.
